Amber is one of the original members of Sibuna. This year she is ready for whatever secrets the house will bring because somewhere deep down, she knows it’s not the end. After what happened last year, she knows she can take on anything or anyone. Her confidence is at a new high—higher than it was before. She convinced her father to allow her to take combat classes over the summer. She now knows how to kick butt and is not afraid to unleash her wrath on whatever comes at her. But Nina is hiding something, and Amber feels the need to find out. Sibunas stick together. The first mystery of the new year? I think so.
But this year, Amber really just wants to hang around for a while. She has her boyfriend, Alfie, but she is starting to get the feeling that he’s interested in somebody else. As we all know, Amber is the jealous type. We saw how the whole Mara and Mick thing went. Will Amber’s friendship with Piper turn to dust? So far she is letting things flow, but at the first sight of betrayal, she will be ready to pounce. That combat training will sure come in handy.

Mick is back from Australia for one reason. Mara. He is ready to give all he has to win her back. He knows he has what it takes. What does Jerome have over him? Or does he expect Mara to get tired of Jerome that quickly? He’s starting to notice a lot of weird happenings throughout the house. Half of the students are skipping class and the other half are starting to do the same. What exactly happened while he was gone last year?
Being alone really gives him a 6th sense; observation. Will he get sucked into the mystery of Sibuna, or will he take the safe route once again. Mick notices something strange going on with Jerome, and he’s ready to use that thing to get Mara back. Maybe he can convince Mara that Jerome hasn’t changed after all. Will Mick be victorious or will Mick be pulled out of school for a third year in a row?

This year, now that the Sibuna stuff is done, Patricia is ready to have some relationship time with Eddie. They didn’t really get the chance to spend time together last year, but this year, she’s determined. But is Eddie ready? After what happened last year, he needs answers, and the only place he can look to is his father, but his father has plans of his own. Eddie asks for Patricia’s help in his quest, but once Sibuna recruits her, will she have time? Will she put her friends first or her boyfriend?
And now that she’s back in Sibuna, will she out her best friend’s life in danger? Joy really wants to be a part of the gang, but will this become another Jerome and Alfie thing? Will Joy begin to play for the wrong side? Now it’s Patricia’s job to make sure none of that happens. This term, Patricia has a lot on her plate.

Mara seems to be the only one who isn’t fighting to be on the inside of Sibuna. That is until Mick warns her about Jerome. All of a sudden it seems as though Jerome is hiding things from her. As his girlfriend, she has a right to know. All last year, Jerome was begging for Mara’s help, but now it seems the tables have turned. Now she’s beginning to help him, but Jerome doesn’t want to put her in danger. He knows something dangerous is going down somewhere in the cellar, but he doesn’t want to put Mara in the middle of it.
Now that Mara is back on the newspaper staff, she decides to write about what she knows. And what does she write about? Well, everybody in the house seems to know something she doesn’t. Who will she ask for answers? And when she gets them, what will she do with them? A true journalist reports the truth, and Jack Jackal is starting to reveal the truth about Sibuna. So whose job is it to stop her? Or will Mara see the light and realize that it’s none of her business. What exactly is Jerome trying to protect her from. As a journalist, she needs answers.

The past two years at Aten have been horrible for Joy. First she was taken away from all her friends, then her friends were taken away from her. Not to mention her father won’t explain anything to her. She just can’t win. But this year, Joy is making a better effort. Now that she knows what was going on, she isn’t going to let it happen again. She is going to be a part of their little gang, whether they like it or not. It’s the least they could do after all she’s been through. She almost died because of what happened.
Now she’s going to follow their every move. Not for Fabian and not for revenge on Nina. This is to finally get what she wants. To feel welcome. To be accepted. All she wants are friends, but people don’t realize that. This year, it’s going to be different. This is her year. But when she turns to Patricia, will Patricia let her join in? Will Joy have to take extreme measures and force her way in?

This year, Fabian is ready to get serious with Nina, but something fishy is going on. Usually Fabian is the first to know about these things, but Nina is hiding something. But once he gets into the mystery, will the things around him crumble once again?
Now that Joy is not a problem, he doesn’t have to worry about Nina’s jealousy, but will the feud between the two girls continue? Once again, Fabian has to decide whether or not to side with his good friend or his girlfriend. Will he make Joy an official member of Sibuna, or will he keep her safe by keeping her out of the loop? And once Fabian truly gets into the mystery of the new tunnel system, will he make it or break it? And now everybody is looking at Fabian for answers. Will he keep the Sibuna secret or put everybody’s lives in danger?

First step to uncovering a new mystery? Sibuna meeting. But is she ready to put her friend’s lives in danger again?
Meanwhile, Fabian and Nina are growing strong. Now that Joy has come to terms with “Fabina,” Nina doesn’t have to worry anymore. But a new mystery causes tension between the two girls. Is Nina ready to make Joy an official Sibuna member? Or is it that she can’t afford to put somebody else’s life in danger? And will the new mystery make or break her relationship with Fabian?

Jerome’s life is starting to look up. He has been reunited with his father and this alleged curse has now been lifted since he returned the Frobisher gem to the Frobisher shield. Now he has his girl, Mara, and he feels as though he can take on anything. But what’s bothering him now? The little scooby gang. Whenever they’re together, something is always up. Rufus can’t make a comeback, right? He’s gone for good? Jerome can only hope. Who else would he have to fear? What else would he have to fear?
Now that his focus is no longer on getting his father out of prison, he can focus on school, Mara, and unraveling the mystery behind their little gang. And he isn’t afraid to use Alfie to do it. He is ready to follow their every move. Who knows? Maybe Sibuna may be in need of a mind like Jerome’s. Maybe he can enlist the help of Joy and Eddie. They seem to want in as much as he does. Or maybe they will start an Anti-Sibuna. Who knows?

Eddie’s dad has yet to tell him about the Osiris. He spent all summer with his mom, which meant a large distance from his dad. Now he’s come back to Atum boarding school to pursue answers. He tries to get Nina on board, but even she doesn’t know exactly what the Osiris does. So, Eddie pesters his father, but his father won’t budge. He even tries to get Patricia on board, but once again, she is focused on this whole Sibuna thing.
Maybe if Eddie joins Sibuna, he can get more answers. After all, Sibuna really did need him last year. If it weren’t for him, Nina would have been a goner. Joy wants to get into Sibuna just as bad. Maybe he could enlist her help as well. Will this cause an unlikely friendship to spark? Will Patricia see their friendship as more than just a friendship?
